The Nationwide Music Publishers Affiliation (NMPA) has introduced the highest songwriters for Q3 2022, together with the highest artist-songwriter and high non-performing songwriter for the interval.
Throughout July, August and September, 2,341 Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum certifications have been awarded.
Beyoncé was the highest artist-songwriter general with 60 certifications together with the 9X Multi-Platinum Single Girls (Put A Ring On It), the 6X Multi-Platinum Drunk in Love and the 4X Multi-Platinum Run The World (Women).
The highest non-performing songwriter was Southside with 14 certifications for hits with Future, Gucci Mane and Lil Wayne, amongst others, together with the 4X Multi-Platinum Each and 3X Multi-Platinum Stick Speak.
In partnership with the RIAA’s Gold & Platinum Program, NMPA finds and certifies the songwriters and publishers of RIAA-certified singles.
RIAA counts each gross sales and on-demand streams in direction of its Gold (500,000), Platinum (1 million) and Multi-Platinum (2m+) thresholds.
Hundreds of songwriters have been acknowledged since NMPA’s program started in 2007.
