Dallas Biz Journal employees photographer Dean dies

Jake Dean, a employees photographer on the Dallas Enterprise Journal, died Saturday.
Editor in chief Jeffrey Schnick writes, “As a publication that serves an government viewers, Jake needed to put on just a few distinct hats. He required the artistic contact of a portrait photographer (posed, candid and conceptual), the adaptability of a documentarian (photographs, video and scripts) and the deftness of a technician (apertures, Drobo drives and mirrorless).
“Leaning into my administration playbook, the best reply proved to delegate that belief to Jake and depend on his experience. Fortuitously, he obliged, seemingly for the sake of his sanity.”
