WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram facing disruption in Pakistan- Here’s Reason

WhatsApp Down in Pakistan?

Global internet watchdog Down detector reported that WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram have been experiencing slowdowns for several hours, with complaints rising again on Saturday.

Amid this disruption, social media users have noted issues with WhatsApp messages not downloading properly.

Similar disruption was reported in mid-July as authorities were reportedly testing new firewall designed to block certain social media content.

‘Pakistan’s Digital Firewall’

Authorities have not revealed much details about installing national firewall to enhance its ability to block dangerous content and improve cybersecurity.
