Students should be equipped with higher engineering education according to modern requirements: Engr Ashfaq Shah

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Constructors Association of Pakistan (CAP) and Candidate for Chairman PEC Engr Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah met with a delegation of academia and Engineers from AIOU.

The delegation was headed by Dr. AK Tipu and included Prof Dr Abid, Prof Dr Nadeem, Prof Dr Syed Athar, Prof Dr Adnan and others.

Chairman Ashfaq Shah while in meeting said that students should be equipped with higher engineering education according to modern requirements. Young engineers are graduating from universities every year. The government should make such policies that these young people can play their pivotal role in the development and construction of the country.

He said that work should be done keeping in mind the current condition and modern trends of the country and society. Designs should be made to reduce energy consumption in buildings and use of natural resources including geothermal, solar energy sources.

Ashfaq Shah said that developed countries have achieved sustainable economic growth by strengthening academia-industry linkages and emphasized that we should also adopt the same approach to revive the economy. It will help in preparing the students as per the requirement of the industry.
