Rain Expected In Various Regions of the Country; Met Office
ISLAMABAD: Rain is predicted in various parts of the country, as reported by the Met Department and local sources.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, some areas are expected to receive rain, providing relief from the heat. Meanwhile, Islamabad will experience hot and dry weather during the day, with thunderstorms and high winds expected in the evening.
Rain is expected in central and southern Punjab, northeastern and southern Balochistan, and upper and central Sindh. This precipitation offers a welcome break from dry conditions and may help address water scarcity concerns in these regions.
Lahore
Lahore’s weather has experienced a decrease in heat severity, attributed to the city’s breezes.
The weather department has noted a reduction in humidity and warm breezes, along with a forecast for rain today. Windy conditions in Lahore have led to a significant temperature drop.
Though this brings some relief to households, load shedding remains an issue. Despite over 70,000 transformers, the replacement of overloaded ones is incomplete, leading to eight to ten hours of power outages.
The extended power cuts are causing hardship for residents, especially during the hot summer season.
As Pakistan encounters diverse weather conditions, citizens are advised to stay informed about local forecasts and take necessary precautions for their safety and well-being.
