Rains, gusty winds expected in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Rain, wind, and thunderstorms are anticipated in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday evening/night and Wednesday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The prevailing weather conditions indicate continental air across most of Pakistan, with a shallow westerly wave expected to impact the upper regions of the country.

This setup is likely to bring windstorms, thunderstorms, and isolated rain to areas including Kohat, Karak, Bannu, Tank, Waziristan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Balakot, Mansehra, Kohistan, Khyber, Peshawar, Bajaur, and Kurram during the specified period. Peshawar’s temperatures are forecasted to range from 40-42°C on Wednesday and 41-43°C on Thursday.

The past 24 hours saw hot and dry weather in most districts of the province, with Dera Ismail Khan recording the highest temperature at 43°C and relative humidity at 36 percent in the evening. Peshawar experienced a maximum temperature of 41°C with relative humidity at 40 percent in the evening.
