President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have condemned the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump.
President Zardari expressed his deep shock at the attack, stating that there is no place for violence in politics. He called the incident a tragedy.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also condemned the attack, emphasizing that any form of violence in the political process is unacceptable. He extended sympathies and best wishes to Donald Trump’s family during this difficult time.
Global leaders also reacted to the incident involving Trump. British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell strongly condemned all forms of political violence.
Prime Minister Kishida and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu additionally expressed their best wishes for Trump’s safety and recovery.
The incident occurred while Donald Trump was addressing a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The bullet grazed Trump’s ear, injuring him, but his life was spared. The assailant was killed, and one bystander also lost their life in the shooting.
