More rains likely in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Scattered rain and gusty winds are anticipated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday night and Thursday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are affecting the upper and central regions of Pakistan at lower altitudes. Additionally, a westerly wave is influencing the upper areas.

Given these conditions, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Kurram, Kohat, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan are expected to experience scattered rain and gusty winds on Wednesday night.

On Thursday, the weather is likely to be hot and very humid across most of the province, with rain and gusty winds potentially affecting Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Malakand, and Kurram.

In Peshawar, temperatures are expected to range from 38-40°C on Thursday and Friday. The past 24 hours have seen hot and humid weather across most districts, with isolated rain and thunderstorms in the upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
