Hailey Bieber Smoothie – A Beautiful Mess
If you’ve always wanted to try the Hailey Bieber Skin Glaze Smoothie from Erewhon- today is your lucky day! It’s a delicious, creamy strawberry smoothie with extra skin boosting ingredients.
If you haven’t heard about the Erewhon hype it’s basically a fancy grocery store that sells organic foods and collaboration smoothies named after celebrities like Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner (and more). This recipe has multiple steps and some specialty ingredients, but it is an easy recipe. In my opinion it is very worth the hype.

Ingredients
- Almond Milk The original recipe specifically calls for Malk Almond Milk. Feel free to use any milk you like.
- Banana The recipe calls for organic bananas- frozen is best for this recipe.
- Strawberries You can use frozen strawberries or fresh strawberries for this step. For the strawberry glaze, which calls for chopped strawberries, you will need to thaw and chop them if they are frozen. You can use frozen strawberries or raw for the smoothie itself. The original recipe calls for organic strawberries.
- Avocado The original recipe calls for organic avocado. I used frozen avocado pieces.
- Dates You will need a pitted date. This adds sweetness and some texture to the smoothie.
- Collagen Use a collagen powder. I like to use Vital Proteins vanilla collagen or unflavored collagen in my smoothies.
- Sea Moss Gel One of the skin benefit ingredients for this recipe is sea moss gel.
- Coconut Cream This is used on the inside of the glass. I used this coconut cream.
- Maple Syrup For adding sweetness to the strawberry glaze.
- Liquid Hyaluronic Acid I used this brand which has a slight berry flavor.
Benefits
Like any fruit smoothie there are many benefits in healthy fats such as bananas, avocado and dates. However since this recipe is specifically marketed as a skin glaze smoothie- I thought it would be interesting to learn more about the benefits of the special ingredients.
Collagen There are many benefits to collagen including skin health, joint health, heart health, gut health and healthier nails.
Hyaluronic Acid Benefits Hyaluronic Acid is great for hydration which leads to radiant, plump skin. It can also support healthy joints and
Sea Moss Gel Benefits Sea Moss gel is a nutrient-rich gel that comes from sea moss. It has a similar texture to aloe vera gel. Sea moss is high in minerals like iodine, potassium, calcium, as well as vitamins and protein. It is high in fiber and prebiotics.
How to Make
Strawberry Glaze Begin by chopping strawberries into small pieces. Cook them in small pan with maple syrup. Cook on medium heat until the strawberries are soft. Smash them with a fork. Some chunky texture is nice for this recipe in my opinion, but you can blend it very smooth if that’s your preference.
Smoothie In a blender combine the almond milk, banana, strawberries, avocado, pitted date, collagen and sea moss gel. Blend until smooth.
Prepare a glass by smearing coconut cream along two sides of the glass in an upward motion using the back of a spoon. Add some strawberry glaze to the bottom of the glass. Then, top off the glass with smoothie. Add a straw and serve.
Tips for Making
- White stripes Anytime I do a copycat recipe I want my recipe to look exactly like the real thing. For this recipe one of the eye catching elements of the presentation is the smear of coconut cream on the inside of the glass. I did use coconut cream (room temp and refrigerated) but mine was more transparent and subtle looking. So I ended up adding a smear of coconut yogurt to achieve the bright white color.
- Prep ahead If you want to have everything ready in your fridge to make this recipe quickly I recommend making a double batch (or more) of the strawberry glaze and then storing it in the fridge for a week’s worth of smoothies. With that ready to go, this recipe is very quick and easy!
- Pinch of Salt If you like a little extra balance, try a pinch of salt to the strawberry glaze or smoothie.
- Substitutions If you can’t get your hands on sea moss gel, collagen or liquid hydraulic acid you can omit these ingredients without much difference in the final flavor. These supplements are what gives this recipes it’s skin boosting benefits. However, you cannot taste them and the recipe is still delicious without them.
- Alternative Ingredients Vanilla stevia is including in the original Erewhon recipe (however I found it to be more than sweet enough without. Some versions of this recipe recommend adding magnesium. If you’ve got magnesium on hard we also recommend trying the Sleepy Girl Mocktail.

Final Thoughts
If you aren’t able to try an Erewhon smoothie in Los Angeles, I 100% recommend trying this homemade recipe. I knew with the first sip that it lives up to the hype.
I’ll tell you that ever since I started testing this recipe my children ask for it every single day. They call it “the smoothie with strawberries at the bottom”. I will honestly tell you- it’s the best smoothie I have ever made at home. If you try it I’d love to hear what you think.
