Chicken rates in Lahore today
As of Monday, Lahore has seen a notable decrease in chicken prices. The cost of chicken has been cut by Rs7 per kilogram, now standing at Rs555 per kilogram.
This reduction follows recent fluctuations in poultry prices, with the current wholesale price of broiler chicken at Rs369 per kilogram and the retail price at Rs383 per kilogram. Despite this drop, the price of farm eggs remains steady at Rs301 per dozen.
In the vegetable market, prices vary significantly. Onions are now priced at Rs145 per kilogram, while potatoes are available at Rs85 and tomatoes at Rs115.
Green chilies are listed at Rs80, but ginger continues to be costly at Rs580 per kilogram. Local garlic is priced at Rs380, and farm cucumbers are available for Rs100 per kilogram.
Additional vegetable prices include fenugreek at Rs310, eggplant at Rs90, cauliflower at Rs120, and turnips at Rs100 per kilogram. Bell peppers are priced at Rs165, local lemons at Rs550, and peas at Rs300 per kilogram. Bottle gourd is the most affordable at Rs65, followed by Chinese carrots at Rs80 and bitter gourd at Rs95 per kilogram.
