Court rejects Sarim Burney’s bail petition in human trafficking case
KARACHI: A local court rejected the bail plea of social activist Sarim Burney, arrested in the case of human trafficking and fraud.
A case of human trafficking and fraud was heard in the city court against Sarim Burney.
The court had reserved the decision after the arguments of the lawyers and FIA were completed on the bail application of the accused Sarim Burney.
During the hearing, the FIA prosecutor said that more revelations have come out during the investigation, more evidence has to be collected against the accused, if the accused is granted bail, it can affect the investigation, the accused is resorting to lie. .
The FIA prosecutor said that the statement of the mother of the girl is that she contacted Sarim Burney to take the daughter, but Sarim Burney refused to give the girl to the mother.
On the other hand, Sarim Burney’s lawyer said that the girl was given for adoption in a completely legal manner and Sarim Burney has all the evidence regarding giving the girl for adoption.
FIA failed to present evidence against the accused. Therefore, by accepting the bail application of Sarim Burney, he should be dismissed from the case.
