Good News- Primary School Students No Longer Need to Carry Books

School bags have become increasingly heavy for students, especially young learners who need to carry numerous books and supplies.

To alleviate this strain on younger students, the federal government is exploring options to lighten the load of school bags. Reportedly, the government has introduced a student-friendly no-bag policy for primary schools in Islamabad, effective from August 1.

Following the summer break, students will no longer need to carry school bags as they will be provided with storage cabinets in their classrooms for textbooks and other materials.

This initiative aims to reduce the burden on young students, with the government making necessary arrangements in all primary schools to facilitate this change.

Previously, the government had launched the ‘Lighter Bag Brighter Student’ initiative, which initially saw success and positive feedback from parents but was eventually phased out.

The new initiative is being enforced as parents are now urging the ministry to reinstate the policy to foster a healthier educational experience for their children.
