Trade data
Statistics Canada will release international merchandise trade figures for May on Wednesday. Canada posted a merchandise trade deficit with the world of $1.0 billion in April compared with a deficit of $2.0 billion in March as exports increased 2.6 per cent and imports rose 1.1 per cent.
Jobs numbers
Statistics Canada will release its latest reading on the job market when it publishes its labour force survey for June on Friday. The Canadian economy added 27,000 jobs in May, while the unemployment rate was 6.2 per cent for the month, up from 6.1 per cent in April.
