Rains, gusty winds expected in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Rain with wind and thunderstorms is expected in Peshawar and various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday night, Wednesday, and Thursday. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave is currently affecting Pakistan’s upper and central regions.

Under these conditions, rain and thunderstorms are anticipated in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Kohat, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Mardan, and Kurram from Tuesday night through the next two days.

In Peshawar, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 38-40°C on Wednesday and 36-38°C on Thursday.

Most parts of the province experienced hot and dry weather over the past 24 hours, though Kalam received 1 mm of rain. Dera Ismail Khan was the hottest location in the province, recording a maximum temperature of 45°C, with relative humidity at 18 percent in the evening.

Peshawar recorded a maximum temperature of 42°C, with evening relative humidity at 17 percent.
