Suzuki Alto new registration fee from July 2024 [Check Punjab excise fee update]
The Punjab Assembly has approved the budget for the next fiscal year 2024-25, implementing a new fee structure for the registration of cars and motorcycles with the excise department.
All citizens purchasing any vehicle, including the Suzuki Alto, are required to register the vehicle with the Excise and Taxation Department.
Driving an unregistered car can result in legal issues or traffic fines. Applicants must pay a specified fee to register their cars with the department.

Excise New Registration Fee from July 2024
The excise will start collecting registration fee of Rs20,000 for vehicles up to 1000cc, with a similar 10% annual transfer fee.
The registration fee for vehicles between 1000cc and 2000cc will be 0.02 percent of the purchase price, and those over 2000cc at 0.03%.
Suzuki Alto Latest Excise Registration Fee from July 1
As the Suzuki Alto boasts 660cc engine, the new registration fee for the car will Rs20,000 in Punjab, with effect from July 1.
